[RVRC] Race Comms Not Needed - Thank you for offering

The last minute request for race comms has been rescinded.  We won’t need your help on Sunday October 9.  Thank  You!  

The race may already have excess comms.  The police, fire, and rescue squads are already there and personally involved.  When checking their comms needs they may have discovered that their race course is several laps of a very small corner of town and saturated.      

For the record, we had at least 5 of us ready, and a list of others who may have stepped up to help, had the Aubrey Foundation given us the job.

Hi Gerry and Pat,

Thank you for your email - I appreciate the follow up.  We met with the Board on Monday night - tying up lots of loose ends and getting excited for race day!  At this phase, we're so far into the planning, communicating, marketing & budgeting processes for 2016 that we feel your offer to help us and provide volunteers for isn't something we can participate in for this year's race.  

That being said, I really appreciate your expertise, service, and willingness to help! I think there's a lot of value you'd be able to add when it comes to planning and executing next year's race; in terms of day of communication for next year!  If you don't mind, I will keep all of your contact information and reach out to you in a few months when we're planning next year's race.  

I'm so grateful for the connection we've made & look forward to working with you soon!
