Subject: [dsrc at n2re.org] David Sarnoff Radio Club Meeting - Tue 15 Mar
2016
DAVID SARNOFF RADIO CLUB
MARCH 2016 MEETING
Movie Night
Rebecca Mercuri KA3IAX
* Tuesday, March 15, 2016, 7:30 PM
* American Red Cross, 707 Alexander Road, Suite 101,
Princeton, NJ 08540. See http://n2re.org/ for map and directions.
This month we will have a "movie night" meeting. Popcorn will be
served!
Rebecca Mercuri, KA3IAX will be showing two videos suggested
by Dennis McClary, KC2IMI. The first is a 1944 film by Radio
Corporation of America in collaboration with the U.S. Army and Navy
entitled "Radio at War." This patriotic story follows two brothers
from their hobby in Ham Radio to service in the Signal Corps and
depicts many ways in which radio was used an essential wartime tool.
The second video surveys numerous interesting mobile phone apps for
the radio amateur.
We will also discuss plans for the Ham Cram and Exam to be held at
The College of New Jersey on Saturday, March 19th. Please let folks
know about this licensing opportunity. Details are on the TCF website
at http://tcf.pages.tcnj.edu
All are invited to join in an informal pre-meeting dinner at the Super
Star East Buffet, 311 Nassau Park Blvd, Princeton, NJ 08540
(same location as our annual holiday party) at 6:15 PM.
