[RVRC] Hamfest Update

Members,

 

The hamfest working frequency is 147.570 simplex with a PL of 141.3, Please
program your radio before the event and test them. Assistance is greatly
needed at the beginning to get the buyers and sellers parked and the club
tables and VE Test area set up. A similar effort is needed to police the
area at the end of the event and our plans are to leave the area in better
shape than we found it initially.

 

 

Checking with the Township clerk and Health department we cannot sell or
handle any food without a permit. There are no exceptions. I suggest we make
free coffee and bottled water available to our guest and not risk any
infractions.

 

As mentioned at the meeting if you have any banquet tables available and can
get them to the hamfest they would be appreciated. The same with portable
chairs. Again, parking and setup are very important so the earlier you can
get there the better. In the past 5 am is a good target.

 

KD2DUK, Anna, will have the new club shirts available at the hamfest for
those who ordered one. To show off your new shirts Dave and Dan Vadney will
take a group photo using a drone this year. You don't want to miss this
photo shoot.
