                             Fair Lawn Amateur Radio Club W2NPT
 

As part of its 60th Anniversary Speaker Series, The Fair Lawn Amateur 
Radio Club will feature a presentation from one of the leading DXers in 
the world -- Bob Shohet  (KQ2M). 



The presentation will be held on Saturday,

June 4th at 11AM  at the

Fair Lawn Community Center,

10-10 20th Street in Fair Lawn.   



Come and see and hear the tales and secrets of one of the world's top 
contesters and DXers. The event is open to the public.  Admission is 
free and refreshments will be served. 



In addition to the presentation, the club will also hold an open house 
from  10AM-2PM.  Club members and guests may operate the multiple 
operating positions  of W2NPT and learn more about the club.  



Bob has had the privilege of becoming a 4-time US Team leader in WRTC, 
placing 3rd, 9th and 5th with teammates KR0Y in Seattle (W7), and W7WA 
in Slovenia (S5) and Finland (OH) - the three WRTC’s attended – and 
setting an ALL-TIME HIGH WRTC QSO record in 2002.



He is equally passionate about DXing, station and antenna design, the 
study of propagation and has helped to build many stations including his 
own in Connecticut  in 1994. He has made over 850,000 QSO's  and worked 
all countries except for Bouvet (confirmed 321).
