Marvin,

We are aware of that and have sent an email to the candidate to explain that at best he would be an associate member until he upgraded. Additionally I have provided him with links to study material to include KB6NU, Hamstudy, org and practice exams and learning tool sites.

I have identified approaching exam dates and strongly indicated we are here to help him get licensed so he would be a resource to the club.

Anyone that accepts an application for membership and agrees to be a sponsor is obligated to explain our membership requirements to the applicant at the time of accepting the instrument.

Our goal is to do all we can to encourage growth in membership.

73, Drew, W2OU

Members,

In The recent ballot for membership, Ciro Giommonco, TBD application for '' FULL MEMBERSHIP'' is invalid! The RVRC ''By-Laws'' stipulate that only licensed amateurs can apply for and be voted for ''FULL MEMBERSHIP''.

Therefore, Ciro Giommonco, TBD can only apply for and be voted for ''Associate member''.

We can and should make that change and encourage/assist Ciro in obtaining his license.
