Fellow members,
At the last meeting I was asked to select a new ''work frequency'' for our 'Hamfest'. Because of the use by a group of hams operating a simplex repeater which is tied to a wide area network on 147.550 MHz (using DPL D023N), this operation (busy on week-ends) would unquestionably cause us difficulty. After monitoring the frequency one channel UP from what we were using.....147.570 MHz.....I find that to be a suitable choice.
Please program your radios for 147.570 (tx/rx) with a tone of 141.3 **(same tone as before ). We will not need to use tone access (PL/CTCSS) but if we do use tone, that will be the one we should use.

**We will be alone on 147.570 so using tone isn't expected to be necessary
