Solar activity during the past 24 hours was at moderate levels with one M-flare and several weaker C-class flares. The outlook for the next 24 hrs is for C-class flares are likely and isolated chance of stronger M-class flares. No earth-directed CMEs were observed over the last 24 hrs. The solar winds is currently near 400 km/s and expected to gradually decline as the effects of the 19 December CME wanes. Conditions for HF radio wave propagation are gradually trending towards the predicted monthly values. The current HF are slightly depressed to the CME effects.
