Excuse me Drew but it was more than 24 hours, more like 72+ hours and I
had only found out about it myself. I really feel sorry for the club, I
thought hams were supposed to be ready for anything at a moments notice.
If the club can't respond to public service events then I can only
imagine your responses to major emergencies. "oh I'm sorry I can't help,
I have to take my kid to soccer practice, oh I'm sorry I can't help, I
have to run the social net, oh I'm sorry I have a date..." and it's not
just because people get busy, this club just doesn't want to do extra
and I should have known better than to ask. I figured out of the
membership, I would have found 2 or 3 that weren't busy to pull this
event off. Silly me!!!

Sorry you were unable to get
any volunteers for the event.Since weekends
represent the majority of our free time,
activities are planned usually
well in
advance. A 24 hour notice just doesn't work for a
planned event.
