The W2QW 440 Repeater will be dedicated to a RACES drill from 10 AM until Noon today -Saturday October 4, 2014 at the request of K2VHF and the South Plainfield Amateur Radio Club.
Please do not interrupt the drill activity and do not link the 440 machine to outside networks or other repeaters until the completion of the drill.
Your cooperation is appreciated

Subject: Urgent request
Mike, Craig,
SPARC is participating in the SET (Simulated Emergency Test) tomorrow (Saturday). We had planned to use the Middlesex County OEM/RACES repeater but this morning they were turned off......''off the air''. Due to issues with the call sign I.D. being illegitimate (the call sign belonged to a former Middlesex OEM ham and RACES coordinator who left the county and changed his call).
May we have permission to use one of RVRC's repeaters for two hours between 10 a.m. and 12 noon? If it is possible to unlink the 442.250 repeater or if it is better to use the two meter repeater....your call if it is possible.
The 'Drill' will follow a 'script' which details events if it becomes necessary for South Plainfield to activate our shelters in the Borough.
We would absolutely appreciate the availability of one repeater.
We are short on time since the ''drill'' is tomorrow morning 10 a ~ 12 p
Thanks,
Marv
