If these are indeed honey bees, they normally can't sting when they have
just swarmed. Why?
Part of the swarming process is to gorge themselves of hive resources
(pollen/honey) which makes it extremely difficult to physically impossible
to sting.
I have helped collect a swarm myself, it's fun!
