Members,

A fellow ham from Canada was going to be at a meeting over at IEEE a short
distance on the day of our hamfest. He planned on walking over and visit our
event. Now it seems he will not be at the IEEE facility but would like to
still visit our hamfest. Anyone passing the Hyatt Hotel interested in
providing him a lift to the hamfest it would be greatly appreciated. Please
let me know.

73,

Drew, W2OU

Hello Drew,

I've locked everything in, and it turns out I have the 'WHOLE SATURDAY "
free !! If you know of other hams who may be interested to have me visit
in the afternoon, or catch-up for dinner with a few from the professional
ranks among the ham community, that would be great.. maybe just pass the
word around...

Looks like I'm staying at the Hyatt New Brunswick, just across the river..
That's just a bit too far to walk, so may get a cab over there, or sweet
talk my way with others who have a car..

Thanks,

David VK2CZ / VK8AA

Hello David,

Great, put the hamfest on the critical path in your Gantt chart.

The hamfest official start time is 8am ending at 12 noon. However vendors
and sellers are usually well underway setting up their spaces by 7am and you
could always come early. If you are viewing the site on Google earth you
could use the address of 110 Behmer Ave, Piscataway , NJ 08854 to get a
satellite view of the event location. We are in the parking lot immediately
y east of the Piscataway High School football field. There's a large open
land area out the back of IEEE called Green Acres that you could easily
cross or use the jogging/walking path. Otherwise you can easily drive north
for 2 lights to Behmer road and turn right and go about .2 miles to the
site.

Drew, W2OU

Hello Drew,

I will be attending the IEEE Board of Directors meetings around that time,
and will 'sneak' out for a few hours on the Saturday to visit. Looks like a
5 minute walk away !

What is the usual start / finish times...

Look forward to catching up.
