[RVRC] Petition to FCC for Ham band 10 GHZ

Earlier this week, the FCC requested comments on a Petition filed by
Mimosa Networks, Inc. in which Mimosa urged the FCC to initiate a
rule-making proceeding to make spectrum in the 10.0 - 10.5 GHz band
available for wireless broadband service.

The Petition, RM-11715, could effect Amateur Radio as we have do have
privileges in that band.

The issue will more than likely be discussed at the upcoming meeting of
the ARRL Executive Committee, of which I am a member. I am asking for
any feedback from those in the Hudson Division who use this spectrum
and are involved in microwave. I do need your input so that I may best
represent you.

Please read the Petition and email me any comments or thoughts you may
have as to the issue.
