[RVRC] New Uniden Handheld - BCD436HP

Guys,

 

                I was asked by fellow radioreference.com members to post
videos showing how the new BCD436HP performed on the Morris County P25
system, as it is a linear simulcast system that has caused major headaches
for those trying to listen to it on a scanner. The first video shows how I
am able to receive it from my house live (as the simulcast distortion is not
an issue here):

                The second video was made after I recorded about 15 minutes
of live traffic while actually driving through Morris County itself
(full-scale signal being received from multiple tower sites):

                (note - the unit's recording feature does not record dead
air. That's why the second video is shorter)

 

                So, if anyone is considering dropping the coin on this model
& was concerned about the unit's decode quality & performance, I hope this
helps quash any fears.
