RVRC members,
We have to keep in mind the one comment made by Jim
Ashworth...................."The radio companies will just want to sell us
> more equipment which we really can't afford."

Yes, we can suggest added equipment like vehicular repeaters which would
require a.) equipping all their vehicles with REPEATER equipment and
b.)carrying another radio to receive/transmit with the vehicle repeater!
The most likely problem with 'dead spots' in this digital system is
BER.....bit error rate issues caused by multipath and/-or- noise/signal
interference.
Having a good spectrum analyzer can identify what is causing a 'dead-spot'
but correcting that 'cause' might be outside of Dunellen's reach!

What ever the resolution results may be, there's going to be some 'financial
cost' to Dunellen or Piscataway or both.

First step is to obtain a good spectrum analyzer capable of analyzing
DIGITAL signals and identify the issues before we can go forward with any
suggestions for resolution.

Marv, K2VHW
