I can find out where the dead areas are identified if that helps to
start. There is a very bad area in the area of Piscataway close to
Dunellen in the factory area on Route 28 up to South Second Street that
has angered Sprint cell phone customers. They have a tower in the area
however they had to provide small repeaters to the customers in the
area. Many had to switch service provider. Now if we only had one of
those portable spectrum analyzers.

Keep in mind that sometimes dead spots aren't due to lack of coverage,
but sometimes due to de-sense resulting from other co-located
transmitters such as cell sites, etc. I helped ID this type of problem
in downtown Philly a years ago using a portable spectrum analyzer.

One more choice if they apply for a UHF frequency and have a patch to
the
Piscataway system to use when in a dead spot...this might be the most
cost
effective. I deal with a system like this in Edison and its hard to use
cost effective and fix in the say sentence.
