Constance W. Jurrens b. June 4, 1948, Princeton, NJ d, September 22, 2013 at
the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, PA
Connie breathed her last at 7:45 AM here, shortly after I gave her a big
hug, "from all our friends, relatives and me" and assuring her that "we will
be all right."
Be assured that she did not suffer; the palliative care that she received
from the nurses, nursing assistants, pharmacists, housekeepers, technicians,
maintenance staff, and doctors (all of them our "ANGELS") in this journey
exceeded anyone's possible expectations. Their love and compassion for us
can never be fully repaid. It's a debt I will carry to my grave.
Our sons are on the way, I've prayed with the chaplain, the nurses have
prepared her body for transport back to NJ. I've spoken with John at
Mather-Hodge Funeral Home in Princeton, and arrangements will be made and
published here. Please do not hesitate to include anyone we may have missed
inviting to this community.
For now, I want to thank you all for your prayers, your positive thoughts,
and kind expressions of love and caring. We've been privileged to be a part
of your lives, as Connie was a part of yours. I hope you'll continue to
permit me to be a caring friend to you.
Most people don't know that Connie was born on a Friday. As the poem says,
"Friday's child is loving and giving." These are attributes I'm sure you'll
all agree suited Connie to a T.
Eternal rest, grant unto her O Lord
and let perpetual light shine upon her.
May she rest in peace. Amen.
May her soul and the souls of the faithful departed,
through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
Amen.
