Subject: BARA Hamfest this Saturday, Awards tickets going fast!

The Bergen Amateur Radio Association, BARA, will be holding their annual
Fall Hamfest this Saturday, October 12th.  The annual event will once
again be held at Westwood High School in The Township of Washington in
Bergen County.

The Hamfest runs from 8:00 AM till 2:00 PM, rain or shine.  There are
indoor spaces and outdoor tailgating spaces.   VE Testing: 8:00 am -
10:00 am (Please bring Photo ID and if previously licensed your
original FCC license and a  photo-copy.  The fee for the exam is
$15.00)

Lots of parking is available.  Lots of great bargains and goodies to be
found.   The Hamfest opens for vendors at 6 AM, and at 8 AM for buyers.

Well, it’s time for my weekly reminder about the Hudson Division
Awards luncheon.  Ticket sales are due to end October 12th, so get your
order in right away.  DON’T BE LEFT OUT!  As of last evening we have
over 110 tickets sold, with more reserved.  Get them now, before it's
too late!!!!!!!!

The 2012-2013 Hudson Division Awards luncheon will be held on Saturday,
November 2, 2013 at the Ramada Café International in Newburgh, N.Y.  
The fete will run from 12 noon to 4:00 pm. The lunch will be buffet
style with a cash bar.  

Special Guest Speaker, Harold Kramer WJ1B, Chief Operating Officer of
the ARRL, will give a talk about the ARRL 100th Birthday celebration in
July 2014.

The Awards Journal is currently being put together.  All monies raised
by advertising will be donated to the ARRL Spectrum Defense Fund.  Ads
