Thanks to the crew of dedicated club members who did all the work this
weekend. It's good to have members who not only talk the talk but walk the
walk. Thanks again. Mike, KB2VRM

Subject: [RVRC] RVRC Saturday 6/22 'Field' Day - Project Report
Members of RVRC
I am pleased to report that the new antennas are fully assembled and ready
to go up the tower.
Thanks to Jim (KC2ZXP) and Anna (KD2DUK) and Paul (KC2VRJ) Nannery and also
to Bruce Nadler (KC2YSF) for the great effort. It took a lot of hands, lots
of measuring and lots of adjusting but the final results look very
promising.
These antennas are very high quality and hopefully we will have very good
results once they are up in the air.
Total assembly time for the two antennas was about 4 hours.
The heavy duty aluminum masts worked out great. Thanks to Rich Pascale -
W2PQ for helping with the mast procurement.
Kenny Lund (KC2OOP) stopped by to give us some support and to do some
planning with Paul and Jim and Bruce for the future shed work. Susan Lund
also helped with some tools and lots of encouragement throughout the day
After the antennas were secured in the garage and the shed, we helped Susan
with some projects in the house before heading back down the hill.
Overall it was a successful day and we are one step closer to getting the
repeaters back to full strength.
