The installation of the 440 replacement antenna is postponed for this weekend (July 6 & 7) Due to expected high temperatures and humidity. We will reevaluate the situation on Monday with the possibility of a midweek climb if the heat breaks.

It did not seem reasonable to risk overexposure in the heat for the climber, especially since the current antenna is still operational to a reasonable degree.

The climbing company that we will be working with for the installation of the new antennas, TELCO Communications, has given us a potential climb and installation date of Saturday June 29, 2013

The climb is planned for Saturday morning starting at approximately 9 AM.
This is still a 'planned' date that is dependant on weather conditions.
The final 'go / no-go' decision will be made Saturday morning by David Ehehalt from TELCO Comm.

David has requested a 3-4 person ground support crew from the club to assist.

I have committments from Jim Nannery (KC2ZXP), Paul Nannery (KC2VRJ), Bruce Nadler (KC2YSF) and I will be there.
Anna Nannery (KD2DUK) will probably be available for encouragement and moral support.

If you are interested in helping please call me directly.
I can use 1 or 2 more as backups or substitutes.

Weather permitting, this climb should get us back on top of the tower for 2 meters and also give us a new 440 antenna up on top,

More to follow..........
