We have a confirmed climb time scheduled for Friday 8/23/13
David is planning to arrive at the site around noon.
Best guess is this should be 2-3 hours max.
The machines will be off the air during the climb for safety reasons
Please contact me if you are able to participate

Subject: Tower climb dates for 440 Antenna - Member support request
Tower work is being planned to complete the installation of the replacement 440 antenna along with adjustments to the recently installed 2M antenna and the mid tower backup antenna.
David Ehehalt, N2DAE, from Telco Communications is planning our climb for one session on Friday or Saturday or Sunday morning
The final date selection will be based on weather forecasts and crew availability
The preferred time is Friday 8/23 from approximately 10 AM until 1 PM (more or less)
1st Backup is Saturday 8/24 from 10 AM until 1 PM
2nd Backup is Sunday 8/25 (times probably the same as the other dates but not definite - may be later)
David needs 2-3 ground crew helpers in addition to his regular helper to assist with hauling the antenna up the tower. I will be one of the crew on any of these days so I need commitments from at least 2 more folks that can help with the work. Please tell me which day you are committing for. Please also provide any preferred contact information so we can adjust as the plans may change at the last minute.
Please note this is not spectator stuff - this is hauling on the lift line or helping with the guide line to keep the antenna from hitting other objects during the lift.
You will need gloves and probably should have boots or strong shoes.
I also recommend long pants due to some hidden poison ivy, and some unforgiving brush up at the tower location.
You should bring a hard hat if you have one - there are some 'community' hard hats up at the site if you don't have your own.
Please respond ASAP so that we can finalize the plans with David.
Regards and 73's
