[RVRC] FW: COMPLAINT ABOUT THE HAMFEST

Members, the hamfest Jumper Cable team spent considerable time constructing
the jumper. We admit there were some issues but we did our best and crimped
every crimp connections. We were a little laxed in some areas requiring
solder and we have certainly learned a lot from this project and appreciate
the efforts and time of the teams members. I'm sure going forward we will
adjust and be even more diligent to make sure this doesn't ever happen
again.
If the complainer had contacted us we would have corrected the problem
immediately by fixing the finished product or offered him a full refund.
However since he chooses to remain anonymous and sling names I see this as a
lessons learned experience. The 5/8" clear label was the cable price.
Regrets,
Drew

sponsors of the event would at least like to know about this. At least the
cable they used was Mil-Spec RG-213/U, instead of that crappy RG8X or "TYPE"
cable. The cables were $12 each too!. If I had known about the problem, I
might have still bought them, because it's easier to finish a job than do
the whole job, but I would have haggled over the workmanship. It's ironic
that in the next row over a guy was selling six foot cables using RG-214/U
for $10 each, and the workmanship was superb, or at least looks that way.
And the cable he used is more expensive and better quality. Essentially it's
double-shielded RG-213/U. I bought four of those cables.
