Alan, no problem many of us like yourself, are wearing multiple hats. If we communicate with each other things will work out just fine. There are plenty of VE’s in the club that can be called into service. It’s important that we keep the information channels open. For example N2MPM as chairman of the demonstration committee needs to know who is doing a demonstration and the time they plan to conduct the demos, and W2UDT needs to know the times of all the planned demos so he can announce them over the PA system. Bill also needs to know when the VE sessions are about to begin so he can alert candidates to converge at the exam locations. Working closely together this will be a successful event. Communications is our business.

Drew

Note that I am a VE, but wasn't planning on working the session(s), since I'll be working the club table and my demo QRP station. However, if I am needed as a VE, I'll put away the QRP station and come to the tent.

Just a reminder for those acting as VEs for the session...this is under
ARRL auspices, so, please have your league VE badge with you for ID. :)
Just a reminder. Anyone else on the list that is a VE, you may be
asked to participate for a session, to ensure we have the right number
available for the candidates.
Right now, I'm thinking 2 sessions, one at 9 and one at 10, and holding
the 11AM hour open for last minute 'oh, while I'm here, why not?'
upgrades/initials.
Sound like a plan? Gate folks: we can't charge admission for folks
showing up (only) for the VE session, so ask if they're coming to take
the test or do the hamfest (quickly). I know, sounds shady. If it's
just for the test...direct them to the big white tent at the back. It
may mean a couple bucks, but it seems to work out OK for Cherryville and
other locations.
Comments welcome.
73 and see you Saturday early.
