Members of RVRC,

It has come to my attention that a repeater has been placed on the air in Edison, NJ. This repeater is on the first adjacent channel and reversed (447.275 Tx/442.275 Rx). The owner/operator has indicated that it has been operational for the past 60 days without any complaints!

It is being operated by AA2VT in Edison (residence) and running 110 watts into a 6 dbi gain antenna. This represents approx. 400 watts ERP.

I request that all RVRC members pay particular attention to times when it appears there may be interference to our repeater and be prepared to switch to listen on 447.275 (tone 118.8)
to evaluate the interference and determine if is, in fact, causing a problem.

Please keep a close watch on this matter and report your findings so that we may forward this to MetroCor since AA2VT has applied for a coordination on that frequency(ies).
