There's a few meetings upcoming that I thought would be of interest to hams
-- below are the details. Hope to see some of you there!
73,
Rebecca KA3IAX.

IEEE Princeton-Central New Jersey Broadcast Technology Chapter Meeting
Date: Wednesday, November 9th, 2011
Time: 6:00 PM ? dinner, followed by a 7:00 PM presentation
Location: Perkins Restaurant, 50 Princeton-Hightstown Road, East Windsor,
NJ 08520
Topic: The Largest Radiotelephone Station in the World ?
History of the AT&T Pole Farm
Speaker: Dr. Dennis Waters - Lawrence Township Historian I believe this is
the same (or similar) talk that was given at the DVRA club in May 2010. If
you haven't heard this talk yet, it's a great one, especially for folks who
remember (or wondered about) the farm!
Admission: Free but you need to RSVP to jstack at ieee.org for the headcount.

Ocean-Monmouth Amateur Radio Club
Date: Saturday November 12, 2011
Time: 9AM meeting and talk, followed by an informal tour of the Project
Diana site.
Location: Small building at the back of the Project Diana Site just past the
InfoAge Science Center on Marconi Road in Wall Township. Directions at
www.omarc.org -- click on the Hamfest link for a map and narrative.
Topic: Weird Antennas of New Jersey
Speaker: Dr. Rebecca Mercuri - Notable Software, Inc.
This is the same talk I've been giving around the state for the last year or
so. If you haven't heard it yet, now's your chance (though I will probably
be giving it again somewhere in the spring, this one does include a Diana
Site tour by the OMARC club).
Admission: Free.

IEEE New Jersey Coast
Date: Sunday November 13, 2011
Time: 11AM-2PM
Location: InfoAge Science Center, 2201 Marconi Road, Wall, NJ
Topic: TIROS Satellite Plaque Dedication
Meeting: Some of you may recall that an IEEE Milestone Plaque was dedicated
at the Sarnoff Center last year. There was a second plaque awarded for TIROS
activity at the Diana Site. This will be the unveiling of that plaque, along
with slide presentations followed by a tour of the InfoAge Museum (which
includes lots of Marconi artifacts plus other technology items such as the
Apollo Spacecraft computer).
Admission: Free but you need to register via the NJ Coast IEEE web page at
http://meetings.vtools.ieee.org/meeting_view/list_meeting/8849
