[RVRC] HUMOR: My tweet from yesterday

I met a ham here in El Segundo yesterday (not from Oracle). He had a Yaesu
HT on his belt and I asked him if that was, indeed, a ham radio. He smiled,
said “Yes” and told me his call.  I introduced myself and we exchanged
pleasantries.  He asked me if I had brought a rig with me. I said “No” but I
was using my laptop from the hotel to access my Flex-1500 remotely. He
thought that was pretty cool, and I said I was going to be in Belmont Shores
week after next and would probably bring an HT with me because there is a
lot of radio activity there…he laughed and said – I don’t think we have to
worry much about that!

Realizing I had inadvertently made a funny, I got on twitter and typed:

“So I decided I'd take one of my handheld ham radios with me week after next
in SF. I hear they will have lots of radio activity there.”

Maybe there’s a role for me as a writer for Conan maybe?!
