For those interested...the 1952 edition of Edmund Laport's seminal and
canonical work on radio antenna engineering from RCA (the real one, not
the badge-engineered consumer product company) has been made available
to download for non-commercial use.
This 500+ page work covers so much antenna theory (the theory doesn't
change necessarily...maybe the implementation does...) that if you are
interested in skyhook design, the math behind it, how they did it Back
in The Day...this is for you. Or, if you just want something new to
sink your teeth into, it's a treasure trove of information.
Anyway, I've downloaded a copy and put it on my website at:
http://www.wb0yle.com
where you can either select the link in the right hand frame under my
photo in the top entry, or under the Interesting Links menu selection on
the left hand menu.
Anyway...like I said, it is 500+ pages long...so, I'm thinking that you
might want to read thru it and only print out the pages/sections you're
really interested in, or you'll be replacing paper and ink carts at a
rapid rate.
Enjoy.
