You can also obtain a big spool of waxed lacing cord from Aircraft
Spruce and Specialty Company; most avionics harnesses are so
constructed, using the modified navy method.  The FAA frowns upon the
use of ty-wraps because it has a tendency to cause the teflon jacket on
the mil-spec wiring to migrate...so, they prefer to see lacing cord, for
what it's worth.

Have a spool in my car if anyone is interested in some hands-on...;)
