Hello Lynn,

my name is Drew Moore, W2OU. Thank you for your email. QSL cards are the
main evidence of acknowledging a QSO (conversation) between one ham and
another usually in different parts of the world. The QSL card is physical
proof that the radio contact took place. They show the history of one's
conversations that stretches the globe. Your question is an excellent one.
Joseph J. Loy more than likely has a wonderful collection of his many
conversations around the world where in today's world has no equal in the
internet, email, or social networking realm. That's why many of us continue
to do it today and our hobby continues to grow in number.

I put the question to the members of the Raritan Valley Radio Club (W2QW) to
see if anyone has any suggestions. I'm awaiting any replies.

If you get a chance look up a book titled Hello World A Life in Ham Radio
By Danny Gregory and Paul Sahre. It was published by the Princeton
Architectural Press - New York. The authors found a collection of QSL cards
at a flea market and knowing what they represented they wrote the book to
show the chronological records of the landmarks of the ham radio operators
conversations with the world.

If I receive any suggestions I will forward them to your attention..

Drew Moore

W2ou

Hi My name is Lynn and I just have a quick question. My late husband was a
ham operator and I now have numerous QSL cards and I really hate to just
discard them. They are from all over the world and are very interesting. I
would like to know if you have any suggestions as to what to do with them.
I thought perhaps a school or something of that sort might be interested .
I would appreciate any suggestions you might have. Thanks. (His calls
were N2DQA and W2JJL)
