Current prices, if we're still considering making up cables to sell at
the hamfest:
PL259 Crimp for 8/213/9913 $2.00 each
PL259 Crimp for 58/58A/U/142 1.75 each
BNC-M Crimp for 58/142 1.35 each
BNC-F Crimp for 58/142 1.60 each
N (M) Crimp for 58/142 3.00 each
N (M) Crimp for 213/9913 3.50 each
RG-58A/U .21 cents a foot
RG-213 .78 cents a foot
3/8 shrink tubing aprx .05 per cable
So...
1: 3' BNC-M to BNC-M RG-58A/U jumper, the total cost of supplies would
be $3.38 per cable. Sell for $10.00? That's a profit.
2: 3' PL259 to PL259 RG-213 jumper, the total cost of supplies would be
$4.39 per cable. Sell for $15.00?
3: 3' N (M) to N (M) RG-58A/U jumper, total cost of supplies would be
9.39 per cable. Sell for $20.00?
Other options? Pretty easy to figure out.
From my experience, the 58/214 cables take about 5 minutes per cable
once you get rolling, the thicker cables take a little longer, again,
once you get rolling.
Current prices per Joel at The RF Connection in MD. These prices based
on my last order (which is not as big as we may want, in which case, the
price would come down a couple pennies per connector.); but, thought it
should be thrown out there. Something to talk about, in any case.
Special orders at the show?
