Thank you to the following for joining me at N2ARC today to repair the 75
meter antenna:

Gary K2GW
Bob WA2BSP
Alan W2AEW

We got started around 11 AM and finished up around 1:30 PM or so...but, we
not only got the 75 meter antenna re-assembled and working again, we also
now have a working 80-10 meter, multi-band antenna that looks like it will
load up pretty well on all bands! It's an Alpha-Delta DX-CC I believe. We
hung one end off the rope on the pulley we are using for center of the 75
meter inverted vee. We took the coax that was going to the Hustler 5-BTV
vertical and re-purposed it.

Speaking of the Hustler vertical - if anyone is interested in this antenna,
please contact me off-list and I'll discuss the details with you. It looks
like it's in decent shape, and it has the radial kit on it. We would like
to sell it and put the money towards a "New Crank-up Tower Fund" we would
like to start. I don't care if I never have to climb that awful tower
again! <G>

The roof is now clear of all detritus, we have two working HF antennas, and
the only tower project left is to install the new 47.42 MHz antenna atop the
tower. For that, we'll definitely need a bucket truck (or the like) -
hopefully we can make some arrangements between now and the time the Red
Cross really needs it!

So, bottom line is we'll be able to participate in the NJ State RACES nets
on Monday on all the bands we've traditionally used for this purpose,
including 75 meters. Thanks to all who helped! Great job!

73,
