To All,

If anyone has been listening/using UHF today, you will have
undoubtedly noticed that the de-sense that Paul had spoken of at the meeting
has already begun.

The officers & tech committee have made the decision to
repair the UHF antenna this coming week at the same time that the VHF
antenna is re-installed on the tower. This will add approx. $200-$300 to the
original cost discussed at the September meeting to finish all the repairs
(above ground).

Waiting to do this work will incur charges over $1000 for a
second climb. The work will proceed in this manner:

1. Commercial Tower will bring down the UHF antenna first, then bring
up the already-repaired VHF antenna.

2. In the time it takes to re-install the main VHF antenna, Paul,
Bruce, & Mike (WA2AM) will clean & repair the UHF antenna.

3. Commercial Tower will then re-install the UHF antenna to its
original location.

If anyone has any questions or concerns on this matter, feel free to contact
Mike, Eric, or myself. With the tower team scheduled to come by (or before)
Wednesday, 10/20, we have little time to spare.

Respectfully,

Scott, W2SJW
