Be advised that early on Wednesday morning 2/11/2010, the NWS Mt Holly NJ and NWS Upton NY both placed areas within and near the ARRL NNJ Section into a Blizzard Warning condition. Therefore, at this time, the NNJ ARES Alert Status is raised to MONITORING!
Monitoring - A Heightened State Of Awareness Is Requested Of All NNJ ARES Members By Leadership And Communications To/From Leadership With Local ARES Members Is Initiated
Complete information on the NNJ ARES Alert Status is available on our Webpage at: http://www.hudson.arrl.org/nnj/ares and be in contact with your local ARES Leadership for local increases in the current MONITORING level, should needs arise for amateur radio communications support in conjunction with this widespread event.
NNJ Section Counties included in the Blizzard Warning as of 5: 30 AM are: Essex, Hudson, Hunterdon, Middlesex, Monmouth, Somerset and Union
All other NNJ Section Counties (Bergen, Morris, Passaic, Sussex and Warren) are in a Winter Weather Warning as of 5:30 AM
Please be alert for later changes in this Status both locally or regionally
