[RVRC] Upcoming Skywarn Training (September and October 2009)

NWS Mt Holly is holding several SKYWARN Training Classes this month and next (September and October 2009).

Both a Basic (Sept 10 2009) as well as an Advanced (October 29 2009) Training Class are being offered in Ocean County NJ, and Basic Classes are also being presented in Burlington County NJ (September 17 2009) and Lehigh County PA (October 21 2009).

Please circulate this information to others, both in and outside of the ARES program and in and outside of the amateur radio realm too, as there is no requirement that a person be an amateur radio operator to be a SKYWARN Spotter!

Also please note that there is no requirement either that a person must attend a Class in their county of residence, or even the County Warning Area of your home NWS Forecast Office. If you are not in the Mt Holly NJ NWS Forecast area, and you attend one or more of these Classes, please make sure you let the NWS instructor know which NWS Forecast Office's  CWA (County Warning Area) you are from, so that they can forward your class attendance information to the proper location.
