General Info : Please Pass this email on to anyone I might have missed...
1st of all - this is (from our Ham point of view), a Field Day type of event
As you know, we will be setting up in a parking lot, with only 4 or so light
poles to string dipoles (or whatever) from, and a couple of 12' trees...
2nd'ly, this is a GOTA (Get On The Air) event (since it is for the public at
large)
3rd'ly, Someone (not Me !) might want to make up some flyers with regards to
club meeting dates, times and locations - as well as any sources of info,
tech classes, testing dates - whatever!. Since we have Don (from Somerset,
AC4DM) giving of his time as well, I should think it only fair that the
available flyers come from any club wanting to distribute them, not just the
sponsoring club.
4th'ly - Anyone attending will need to be Control Op for their station. Logs
of station operators/times, contacts, at Control Op's discretion.
(BTW - there is a Scout Leader Training event going on in Somerset at the
same time, so attendance may be affected by a small number of boys that have
to go with their parents (scout leaders) to that training event). Future
events (if held) might see an increase in attendance...
