One correction; any and all electronic/radio equipment sold in the U.S.A.
MUST be 'type accepted' by the FCC. Except for devices that are, "Not
intentional radiators" (ie., receivers, computers, TV's, most remote
wireless devices like X-10 are covered under 'PART 15') are covered under
part 15 and need only certification from the manufacturer that they meet
those standards.
No amateur radio or commercial two-way radio equipment can be sold in the
U.S.A. without having gone through FCC certification process.
So when the FCC is made aware of these devices, the dealers here will be
forced to stop selling, some or all of the merchandise may be confiscated
and dealers may be fined if it is proven that they were aware of the fact
that the devices were not legal.

Marvin
P.S. GET'em WHILE THEY'RE HOT!
