When you say blocked, do you get a weak signal or no signal? If weak, what I did was swap out my wireless 802.11g AP with an 802.11n MIMO AP and this gave me the extra coverage I needed... Microcenter has them on sale monthly.

Subject: [njqrp] PERSONAL Cable TV query (not ham radio related)

Does anyone on the list who has Comcast know if it's technically possible to
connect a second cable modem, let's say, in another part of the house, in
order to expand/improve coverage in that area? In other words, I have a
back bedroom, and the plaster/wire lath construction blocks the wifi signal
from the primary area. However, there's a cable coming into that bedroom
and I wondered if I could put a splitter to the TV and a second modem. I
could then plug another wireless router into it.

Unless someone has another/better idea? Any idea if they would charge extra
for that?

Thanks in advance for your insights! 73,

GJ
