Dear hams, it is time to remind you about the upcoming EU-DX Contest to be held this week-end (february 5-6th) starting at 18.00 UTC Saturday and ending at 18.00 UTC Sunday.
Due the high number of errors in the logs in the first edition, please note the following instruction:
• European Union stations will send RST and a two-letter & two-number code to identify their regions (see point 7 of the rules).
• Other stations will send RST and ITU zone:
Examples:
1) a station from Italy, in the Abruzzo region, will give 59 (ssb) or 599 (cw) + region code  => 599 IT01
2) a station from Serbia (Europe but not EU) will give 59 (ssb) or 599 (cw) + ITU zone => 599 28
3) a station from Japan  will give 59 (ssb) or 599 (cw) + ITU zone => 599 45

Please check the cabrillo file before sending the log, verifying that the exchange fields are correct.
