Subject: [bcc] NEW: Ten-Tec Eagle now fully compatible with WIN-TEST
A new OmniRig driver supporting the Ten-Tec Eagle and Argonaut VI is immediately available - but not yet posted on the DX-Atlas web site.
The driver was written by the chief software engineer at Ten-Tec and I have tested it with three different software programs, including WIN-TEST.
This driver now enables full functionality with WIN-TEST.
WIN-TEST normally has user selectable transceivers, assigned to a COM port.
The Eagle will not immediately appear in the list of transceivers, so you must set it up differently.
To use it, simply select OmniRig (bottom left side of page).
Do not choose a COM Port.
WT will then use the transceiver defined in the OmniRig settings.
Of course you must also setup OmniRig by manually inserting the new Eagle driver.
I have created a web page showing how to configure OmniRig and WIN-TEST to enable use with the EAGLE.
For the Argonaut VI, simply use the EAGLE file.
You can download the driver from this page too.

Perhaps someone can pass this message to RRDXA. (tnx)
BTW: after learning that 40 of the 59 participants in WRTC used WIN-TEST for logging, I contacted the Ten-Tec software engineer directly and applied the thumb screws. He finally gave in and wrote the driver in a single day. It took two days to complete the testing, mostly because I had to re-install WT and that is always a nightmare for me.
Of the other 19 participants, 15 used N1MM, 2 used DXLog and 1 used SKOOK - whatever that is!
