I hope you're doing well my friends,
Well I finished the contests yesterday after 3 operating nights, hi!
I have in my log 620 QSOs, 51 DXCCs, 7 US State/VE Province. Total Score:
370'000 pts!
I think I did well. Operating on 160 was really hard. I was using the 40
GP for RX. This brought me a lot of QSOs from stations that couldn't be
heard using the 160 GP.
On the TRX KENWOOD TS450S, I noticed something; after about 15min of
TXing, the TRX output is only 50W. I need to switch off the TRX for few
minutes in order to get the power again up to 100W (in the meter). Another
solution I found, I TX using the 40 GP (with infinite SWR) then quickly
switch to the 160 GP. Once I keep calling CQ for a short interval of time,
the output power is still 100W. If I wait more than 10 seconds, the output
power will be 50W only. I need in this case to do one of the two above
solutions.
Is that a problem in the TRX? Is that a known problem?
Please advise.
Thanks again for your great help!
