Comments:
The CQWW RTTY was initially planned as M/S low power with two Operators and aprox. 24h of operation. Just to hand out the special german DOK \"50R11\". We ended up with 4 Operators, 46h of Operation and high power. Many thanks to DF8QB who gave as a PA, DK2CRN who gave us a second Microham MK2 and to DF7JC how jumped in as a full time operator.
By Friday evening I had setup the running and the multiplier station at our clubstation and was ready to go home for some hours of sleep. Our clubstation is situated in a school building in the city center of Neuss. One of the teachers closed to front door with the wrong master lock and I had forgotten my mobile phone at home so I was not able to call the caretaker. It took me nearly 1,5h to escape from my prison.
At 23:30 UTC I met with DF7JC at the clubstation. I had to replace the multiplier notebook because it got’s RF on 80m and the USB port stopped working on this band. My YL gave me her old notebook, but I needed some time for the setup. At 00:00 UTC at least the running station with my TS-850 was ready. We tried to call a 9A Station on 40m but he did not react. So we tried YW5T, no luck. This was somehow strange. So we used the multiplier station, clubstation TS-850 at 50w and window FD4 and we could make the QSO with YW5T at once. This was even stranger. So we tried to make a RTTY contact between our two TS-850s, no luck. We discovered that the running TS-850 was transmitting inverse. But why? After a couple of minutes of investigation we decided to set all running TS-850 menu settings equal to the TS-850 multi settings. We were finally on air!
After I assembled the multiplier station I went on 80m, tuned the PA and the running PC rebooted. Thank you Murphy. The quick solution was to run low power on 80m at the multi station. This works fine for a couple of hours until we exchanged the band between the running and the multi station. Now we wanted to transmit on 80m in high power, but still the Microham USB device stopped working. Finally we switched the USB device to a new power supply and we were happy.
Murphy was not seen until Sunday late evening when we tried to run on 80m. Again, the Microham USB device stopped working, but as we had not changed anything at the setup during the last 46h, we had no idea how to solve this problem. Finally we worked LP on 80 for the last 30min to get a couple of missing stations.
Besides Murphy’s visit, it is very difficult to run a M/S station just with 3 antenna’s. We do have a couple of RF problems, that means that we are not able to listen on the second transceiver if the other one is transmitting. In some case we were able to eliminate the interference with my ICE419 band filter, but in most case it showed no difference. We do get RF into the shack and this makes it very difficult for the multi station as it is only able to listen in the receiving gaps. This is something we have to try to fix in future.

DL0NS Setup:
TS-850 + TL922 (running) + Microham MK2
TS-850 + SB1000 (multi) + Microham MK2 + ICE419
FB33 (20m/15m/10m)
OB40-1 (40m)
FD4 (160m-10m)
