Comments:
It was not planed to do a SOHP entry. One month ago I was 100% sure to be at LX7I. But unfortunately we had a family event one Saturday with obligation of attendance. So I spend some time as SO on the band. The goal was to reach 1.000 QSOs. I was only QRV the first night from 00:00 UTC until 09:00 UTC and on Sunday from 04:30 UTC until 23:59 UTC. So I had two half nights for the low bands, only one day for 20m and the weak signal chasing on 15m / 10m.
Equipment:
TS-850 + PA (500w)
FB33 / OB40-1 / FD5
just 100w on 160m as the FL2100b is not designed for 160m
Known problems: my Wintest version did not know how to handle the TO-Prefix. I found some TO-Calls on 20m and 15m, worked them and Wintest just showed ///. I did not worry about it as this is something I could fix after the contest. BUT on Sunday afternoon I found TO3R from z39 on 40m. Z39 was definitely a new one so I was confused why Wintest did not show it as a new multi. So I immediately updated my cty.dat and my score jumped for about 25.000 pts. Great. But now the bandmap showed me some more TO-mults that I had not worked and not seen before, so I missed some easy ones.
I reached 1.000 QSOs on 17:00 UTC and was far away from 1 Mio points. I got a nice W-run on 40m with lots of 3 pointers so I was getting closer and closer to 1 Mio points. I spend the last hour to find some new double mults and 15min before contest end I finally crossed the 1 Mio line.
The only 6 band QSO was LX7I followed by CT9L and EE2W on 5 Bands. EE2W was a close 6 band because we had no QSO on 40m.
Many thanks to all RRDXA stations I worked. I had never to call more than two times to get the new multi into my log.
