Liebe Funkfreunde,
auf der Lokation von ZL6QH nr Wellington soll eine Windfarm mit den in 
der weitergeleiteten Mail beschriebenen Siemens-Turbinen SWT-2.3-93 
errichtet werden. Gibt es OMs in unseren Reihen, die Erfahrungen 
hinsichtlich HF-Störungen durch diese Turbinen haben? Für Informationen 
bzw. Erfahrungsberichte wäre ich Euch dankbar.

Hi Franz

One of the models of turbine that Meridian Energy is considering installing 
at Quartz Hill is the Siemens model SWT-2.3-93 This is a 2.3 MW turbine with 
80m diameter blade. Evidently it is a relatively new model but has already 
been deployed at one or more locations in Germany.

It would be much appreciated if you could make some inquiries amongst your 
amateur radio colleagues in Germany to see if anyone has experience with the 
level of RF noise produced by the SWT-2.3-93 turbine.

It appears that the power conversion technology used in the Siemens 
SWT-2.3-82 VS and SWT-3.6-107 turbines  is similar to that used in the 
SWT-2.3-93 model, so any information on the RF noise performance of these 
two models would also be useful.

I note that the Siemens web site 
http://www.powergeneration.siemens.com/en/windpower/casestudies/index.cfm 
cites the following wind farms as being case studies for the models of 
turbine mentioned above:

Bippen Wind Farm, Germany (SWT-2.3-82 VS)
Braderup Wind Farm, Germany (SWT-3.6-107 und SWT-2.3- 82 VS)
Zetel Wind Farm, Germany (SWT-2.3-93)
