Dear Om's

First of all let me thank in behalf of the CQ9K/CT9M CT3 Madeira Contest
Team, the Spot(s) you putted on the Packect Cluster of our activity during
the WPX SSB Contest 2007. We realize the big importance of beeing spotted
during a contest, and how that increases the rate. So we kindly ask you to
do the same in the next oportunity that you come into our frequency.

For this particular contest le us give you an idea what was the contest fot
us.In the previous weeks we made the setup for Multi-Multi, realizing that
for us, was the easiest setup, regarding the conditions we have in our
shack.

We discussed in which category we would participate and regarding the fact
that we need to give more experience to our operators, speccialy the
youngest ones, we decided to go on Multi-Multi, even with only 7 operators.

The propagations was very strange for all the contest period. Before the
contest we were activating the bands, to check how were the conditions, and
something really strange happened in the minutes beforethe contest starts.
On 20m the operator was making some calls, and got a more or less good
pile-up between 2345 and 00.00. As soon as the contests starts everybody
desapeared and the first qso on 20 only came up some minutes after. Really
strange. On 160, and 80m the bands were as expected. On 40m we had very big
trouble with noise. Sometimes we were calling CQ and we know somebodywas
calling us, but we could not take even 1 leter of the call. On 20m dispite
the poor conditions, regarding with previous years, was the bestband. On 15m
it was also a very strange sensation. During the night very few QSO's with
ASIA, VK's and ZL's. The propagation only started after middle morning, and
were were earing other stations making piles-ups, like 5D5A and AN8A, but we
could no hear nothing on our side (with 3 antenas). This happened on both
days. On 10m, we've made more than expected thanks to thepreservarance of
CT3KU and the Voice Keyer.

Many thanks for contacting our station and for spotting us on the Cluster.

Hope to meet you again in the next contest.

Best regards

CQ9K/CT9M CT3Madeira Contest Team

Luis
