FUNCHAL CITY AWARD

   The ARRM - Associa��o de Radioamadores da Regi�o da Madeira, with the
cooperation of the S. Roque Council, in Funchal, comemorates de Funchal City
Day, giving a special award and a comemorative medal.
   This award is open to  the Amateurs stations and SWL all around the
World, that fullfill all the requirements below:
   Dates: From 17 of August 2002 to 25 of August 2002
   A - For Dx Stations (All stations outside Madeira Island):
   A.1 - To obtain this Award its enough working two times, in diferent
Bands,  the special event station located in the headquarters of the S.Roque
Council. The callsign used will be CS3MAD.
   A.2 - For the Stations who can work 3 Stations from CT3, (in all HF
Bands),  and Two times with the special event station (in this case in
different bands), will be presented with the Award plus a comemorative
medal.
   A.3 - The stations interested in receiving the Awards, should send a
request, with their QSL cards for the stations contacted in CT3 to :
   ARRM - P.O.Box 4694 - 9058 Funchal - Madeira Island - Portugal
Also with a SASE and IRC enough to pay the return letter.
   B - For the Stations located in CT3
   B.1 - The CT3 stations must contact twice  with the Special event station
in one of this Bands: 80, 40 and 10m (up 28.650Mhz), to obtain the Award.
Each contact must be in different Bands and separete for more than 15m.
   B.2- To obtains the Award and the Medal, the CT3 Stations must send a
list confirming one contact per day with the Special Event Station, in one
of the bands authorized by the Portuguese Regulations in HF.
   B.3 - A special Trophy will be given to the CT3 station who made more
contacts(*) during the period of the event (17 to 25/08 2002), with any
stations on the world. At least two contacts with the speccial event station
is mandatory.
   (*) - It is mandatory to present the Log Book and the outgoing QSL cards
for the contacts in the list. The ARRM QSL Bureau will send freally all the
cards for the winning station.
