From W3DHJ at jonz.net Sun Jun 5 21:26:01 2016 From: W3DHJ at jonz.net (Jonesy W3DHJ) Date: Sun, 5 Jun 2016 19:26:01 -0600 (MDT) Subject: [Rover] W3DHJ/R ARRL JUN VHF -- COLORADO Message-ID: I will be a'Rovering in the contest this weekend. I just got the new, replacement vehicle (2016 Subaru XV Crosstrek) rover-ready -- replacing the 2013 Subaru XV Crosstrek that was wrecked a month or so back. BREAKING NEWS: I will be rolling with a 70CM rig for the first time -- SSB/FM - 85W - 8 elements either horizontal or vertical. It will be a fixed operation only. No QSOs possible in motion. Remind me/Move me to 70CM when you work me, because it may not occur to me. HI!HI! I will Rover from all of the grids in S.E. Colorado's high plains. On Saturday I will be doing, in sequence, DM78-DM77-DM87-DM88. Sunday, in sequence, DM78-DM79-DM89-DM88-DM87-DM77-DM78. My plans (heh...), plus maps, are at http://W3DHJ.net/vhfrover_plans.php I will not be doing any self-spotting, nor will I be "trending" on social media -- even if it would be worth 100 points. Current WX predictions are for 90+ degrees both days out there. 73 ES GUD DX Jonesy -- Marvin L Jones | W3DHJ | W3DHJ | http://W3DHJ.net/ Pueblo, Colorado | @ | Jonesy | __ 38.238N 104.547W | jonz.net | DM78rf | 73 SK From bobw2sj at gmail.com Mon Jun 6 09:40:28 2016 From: bobw2sj at gmail.com (Bob Fischer) Date: Mon, 6 Jun 2016 09:40:28 -0400 Subject: [Rover] Reminder- W3CCX QRV in June Contest from Camelback Mountain FN21hb Message-ID: The Packrats will once again be operating multi-op station W3CCX from atop Camelback Mountain near Tannersville, PA in grid FN21hb on bands 6 meters thru 24G with lots of power and big and high antennas in the June VHF Contest which runs from 1800 UTC Saturday, through 0259 UTC Monday (June 11-13, 2016).
