Ya know, the Central States VHF Society annual conference is
coming up in Chicago (ok, Elk Grove Village) on July 23rd-25th.
Info about the conference is at:
http://www.csvhfs.org/conference/index.html
One of the Friday morning activities is "Rover Row" and "Dish
Bowl". Rovers from all over the country will have their rigs in a
special cordoned area of the parking lot and giving shack tours.
Similarly, portable microwave dish systems will be on display.
Bring your Rover and dish and display them at the CSVHFS
conference.
On a related note, if you've been roving awhile, you've probably
activated a fair number of grids--primarily for the benefit of
fixed stations. You might want to look at the CSVHFS Reverse VUCC
(VUCC/r) Award Program at:
http://www.csvhfs.org/CSVHFVUC.HTML
They are challenging awards to earn. Once earned, you can be quite
proud of your accomplishment.
The Honor Roll (so far) is visible here:
http://www.csvhfs.org/CS-VUCCr.html
Do your QSL'ing and submit your applications for this difficult
award!
Questions about Rover Row/Dish Bowl can be directed to WB8BZK or
