At the Mid-Atlantic States VHF Conference, which was dedicated to the memory
of Bill Seabreeze, W3IY, a memory book was established. The purpose of the
book was to have recollections from the VHF community of their contact and
interaction with Bill, and have this collection turned over to the Seabreeze
family. The book is awaiting your input, as most of the the blank pages
passed out at the conference have not yet been returned.
Our conference chairperson, Jim Antonacci, WA3EHD, would like to have your
thoughts, memories and comments sent directly to him via enail. It is best
to just put the text right into the body of the email, and Jim will
transpose it onto high quality paper for inclusion in the book. send you
emails to: jantonacci at worldnet.att.net
For those of you who had limited contact with Bill, he was best known for
his extraordinary rover efforts in the Mid-Atlantic area, in recent years
with his "co-pilot" and co-operator, Christophe, ON4IY. Bill also encouraged
microwave activity with the establishment of MAD "Microwave Activity Days"
on the first Sat AM and first Monday PM of each month. He authored several
of the VHF contest results reports in QST. Please take a few minutes to
compose your thoughts and memories, so that this book can serve as a legacy
for Bill's radio activity for the family. All items should be sent to:
jantonacci at worldnet.att.net Tnx to Roger, W3SZ for making this possible,
and to Jim for collating. 73, Rick K1DS
