[Rover] K9ZF Rover After Action Report (very long!)

Hi Steve,
I have a couple actually. The first one I homebrewed from several different
sizes of EMT conduit. Kinda heavy, and a little wobbly, but was a
reasonably good antennas support and 27' tall!
The new one I have now I bought off Ebay. There is a fella that has them
there, I've seen them several times. I can't remember exactly how much I
paid, but I think it was around $30. Collapsed, it's about 6' and fully
extended it's around 18', I think. Not as tall as my homebrewed mast, but
much more sturdy. It's also lighter and easier to handle for a solo Rover
like myself. After this last contest, I highly recommend them, they work
great. Mine is also open in the top, so I'm thinking of adding a piece of
3/4" conduit to the top to extend it another 5 or 6 feet. This would help
when I finally get my forth band active and need another yagi on the mast.
I mount the yagis at the top of each section. So when I get to a new site,
I stop and raise the mast, and then I'm ready. When it's time to move, I
just lower the mast and go. The yagis stay fixed in place. Hope this makes
since. It's easier to do than to explain, hi hi.
