I never operated ham radio from there, but I used to take a lot of kids
camping there. Like in the 60's and 70's. I do remember there is a very high
spot with some kind of tower or water tower that is pretty clear. The spot
where the top of the lift is was heavily treed. It is a state park, so best
to contact the CT state park dept to be sure. Way back then, there was no
gate, rarely saw a ranger, and the only thing we dealt with was an
occasional visitor hiking the Appalachian Trail (that comes thru there) and
raccoons and perhaps some rare bear!! The roads were reasonably
maintained...I think semi-paved, or gravel. You won't need a 4X4.
