I honestly believe that would be dependent upon a variety of factors such as some of the
following.
Budget obviously , Single operator or Twin operator
Run and gun or Stop and shoot. I've considered a small trailer that I can set up like this one we
use at orienteering meets.

Obviously the antenna config would be just a LITTLE bit different :-)
This would be set up to pull to a spot and then operate. You could operate maybe 50 ssb and 144
FM/SSB while towing.
Other factors the bands you want to operate and the terrain where you will be traveling.
I've been putting some ideas together in a .ppt file. I just converted it to a .pdf and uploaded
it to my web-site@
http://www.ka5cvh.com/vhf/vehicles.pdf
It covers a variety of ideas from getting a old ambulance to a bread truck to trailers. I'm also
kicking around the idea of a tower trailer and a pick-up tower "slide in".
If y'all will send me a few pix of what you do send them to me.

However look at what I have first, I may have already found a pix of your set up.
